For the first time, the NLP Functional Skills programme is available as a standalone training.

This is not a shortened version of the NLP Practitioner programme. It is the guided pre-study component that forms part of the full NLP Practitioner training, now available separately so that you can experience the learning, the methodology and the approach before deciding whether you want to continue to Practitioner level.

What Is NLP Functional Skills? A Practical Introduction to NLP

NLP Functional Skills gives you a structured introduction to the foundations and practical application of:

  • Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
  • Time Line Therapy®
  • The principles and approach developed through the Tad James training methodology

The programme combines 20 audio training sessions personally recorded by Tad James, a comprehensive Training Manual, a Reflection & Practice Journal, live online Masterclasses and guided home study.

You work through the material progressively, practising and reflecting as you learn.

Your Four-Stage Learning Journey

1. Foundations of NLP

Begin with the fundamental principles and language of NLP.

You will explore areas such as:

  • NLP Presuppositions
  • Representational Systems
  • Rapport
  • Anchoring
  • Submodalities

The aim is not simply to learn concepts, but to begin noticing and applying them in everyday communication and personal development.

2. Practical NLP Skills

You then move into practical NLP tools and techniques, including:

  • Meta Model and Milton Model language patterns
  • Strategies
  • Reframing
  • Parts Integration
  • Modelling Excellence

This is where the foundations begin to become practical skills that you can use.

3. Time Line Therapy®

You will be introduced to the principles and processes of Time Line Therapy®, including:

  • Discovering your personal Time Line
  • Releasing negative emotions
  • Exploring limiting decisions
  • Creating a more compelling future

This stage provides an opportunity for personal exploration and meaningful change.

4. Integration & Personal Application

The final stage brings the learning together.

You will apply what you have learned through practice, reflection and a personal change project, developing greater confidence in using the skills and integrating them into your own life and work.

Your Certificate

Successful completion of the programme leads to an NLP Functional Skills Certificate.

Please note that this is not the NLP Practitioner certification. It recognises your successful completion of the Functional Skills programme and its guided pre-study.

What Happens If You Decide to Continue to Practitioner Level?

This is one of the key advantages of starting with Functional Skills.

If you later decide to continue to the full NLP Practitioner, Time Line Therapy® & Hypnotherapy Practitioner training, your £795 Functional Skills fee will be deducted from the Practitioner course fee.

You will also have already completed the required pre-study, so you will not need to repeat it.

This gives you the opportunity to experience the training before making the full Practitioner commitment.

NLP Functional Skills is available as a standalone programme for £795.

Your fee covers the guided pre-study learning experience described above.

If you progress to the full Practitioner programme, the £795 will be credited towards the Practitioner course fee.
